To Place an Order

1. Call Cotswold Furniture Makers at (888) 253-3738 or email us at stowe@cotswoldfurniture.com.

2. Enquiries or discussions concerning custom furniture design, hand-knotted rugs or other home decor items may be made using our convenient contact form or by calling (888) 253-3738. A sales associate can put you in touch with John to talk about a furniture commission, or talk with you about all other enquiries.

3. Before a payment is made, we will fax, email or regular mail an order confirmation to you. This will detail your order, including estimated shipping charges and any applicable taxes. Please review the order confirmation carefully for accuracy.

4. After reviewing the order confirmation a 50% deposit will initiate the order and place your furniture on our schedule of pieces to be made.

5. We will contact you prior to delivery to finalize shipping and delivery details. The balance of your order will be collected at this time. We will contact you again, just after delivery, to make sure that you are satisfied.

Construction and Delivery Time

Average construction time is 12 weeks, and custom work may require 16-20 weeks. At the time a deposit is made, more detailed construction times will be quoted, including allowances for shipping and delivery.

Shipping and Delivery

Furniture prices quoted do not include shipping charges. Shipping is via a fully insured blanket wrap service. Your furniture will be set-up in your home or office and all packing materials removed. Shipping costs over most of the Eastern US are fixed and known. We will obtain a quote for shipments further afield.
Please inform us of narrow doorways, stairways and tight corners, so we can plan tricky deliveries with our shipper.
A careful inspection of each piece should be made at the time of delivery. If any damage is found, you must note your bill of lading and confirm the damage with the shipper, so we can take the appropriate action. After pieces have been inspected and placed, the sale is final.

Payment

A 50% deposit is required to initiate an order. The balance, including shipping charges and any applicable taxes, is due prior to shipment. We accept all major forms of payment: Check, Discover, VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Cash.

Upholstery

Some pieces require upholstery. Upholstery labor is included in the furniture price, but cover material is not. We have hundreds of fabric and leather samples to choose from. We will also apply fabric you have purchased elsewhere. Please speak with one of our sales associates regarding fabric and leather options. 3/4 yard of standard fabric, with normal pattern repeat, will cover 2 standard chair seats. One large leather hide will cover a set of 8 standard chair seats.

Wood

Prices listed are based on construction using American Black Cherry or Maple. Other hardwoods, such as quartersawn White Oak, Mahogany or Walnut are available for an upcharge of 10% . Exotics, such as Bubinga, will incur and upcharge of 30%.

Custom Designs

All our furniture is made to order, so, even with standard designs from our collections, woods, dimensions and layout can be tailored to suit your taste and home. Wood Samples

Samples are available for all hardwoods and stain choices. Any of these items may be taken out of the gallery or sent to you to facilitate your planning and design needs.

Guarantee

Each Cotswold Furniture Makers piece is guaranteed against structural defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original owner. Should either of these defects arise, we will repair or replace the piece at our discretion.
